Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Child Support Arrearages-Interstate
I need a correct amount of child support arrearages from the State of Texas in order to register a Foreign Judgment in another state. This is an old case whereby MI & the father's resident state interstate child support offices have failed to register and enforce child support for 17 years (with all information provided to them of the father owing the child support). The recent glitch that holds them up now is getting an accurate amount owed from Tarrant County, Texas. Due to their paperwork problems they have had between the two states, I now have only six months to acquire a Child Support Arrearage Judgment as my youngest son will turn 21. How can I get Texas to provide this information?

It appears that the effective way to get the child support officials of Tarrant County, Texas to respond to you situation is to retain a family law attorney who practices in Tarrant County, Texas.
