child support-- back support

my boyfriend just found out he has a warrent out for

back child support. his x left the country with his

son under a verbal agreement that while she was gone

he would not have to pay support- so he didn't now

sheis back inthe states and filed on him for the time

she was gone. he doesn't have much money- what can be

done who can he talk to---- he doesn't believe he can

afford an attorney. help!! please- thanks- j

Re: child support-- back support

Verbal agreements for child support have no effect before the judge. Your boyfriend will either have to come up with some money or face jail time.
