Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

child support

How do you calculate child support in the state of Texas for the non-custodial parent. Is it based on a percentage of salary. It has dropped to $50,000 per year. Thanks.

Re: child support

I believe the TX Attorney General's website has a lot of information on determining child support.

Child support is based on a person's net income. It includes rental property, dividends and not just income.

You would need to show a change in circumstance in order to change your child support.

I encourage you to talk to your divorce attorney.

I charge $150 an hour to go over your options.

Good luck!
