Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Child support for college

In my husband's divorce decree (he was divorced in TX) it has his three children dropping off the support upon either turning 18 or upon graduation, whichever comes first. His oldest son is will be graduating next year since there is no provisions for child support to continue while he goes to college can that be changed or amended? We don't want to pay support for him to go to college because none of the children want anything to do with their father despite his numerous attempts to stay in contact with them and refuse to see him when he does go for a visit to TX.

Re: Child support for college

To continue child support after graduation or for college, the decree must provide for that event. Sounds like the decree you describe only allows for child support until 18 or graduation from high school.
