Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Child Support to Custodial Parent not raising children

I am a father currently paying child support to the mother of my two children who is the custodial parent. However, the maternal grandmother is the one who is raising the children in her home which is not the home the mother lives in. The grandmother has said that she has never received any of the child support money to assist in raising the children. (The grandmother is supported by assistance and social security. Can I file for a modification for support so I can have payments made to the grandmother instead of the mother?

Yes. and you can make payments into the registry of the court after filing your motion to modify so that the grandmother gets all of the money.
