Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Child support

My ex has decided to sue me for child support for our 19 yr. old son. Daniel ran away from his dad's in 9/05.He quit school. The police found him in Austin the following month. When notified, his dad refused to take him home.He told them to remove him from the run away list and to not call him again.Daniel returned in early Dec. He enrolled in school in Jan.05, then was arrested on 3 counts of burglary 1/27.He spent 10 months in jail.He was released 11/30.He is not in school as of today. He is working full time.My ex kicked our 16 yr. old son out last Feb.He now lives with me.Because my ex does not want to pay me child support, he has decided to seek support for the older son.He plans to try to get the 19 yr. old in school, but our son has two felonies on record. While I love him and want to see him finish, I do not think that this is fair. Will a judge make me pay him for our 19 yr. old who has been out of school basically for 1 1/2 yrs.?

Re: Child support

You need to file an answer, and also a counterpetition for the younger child. All of the evidence you present here, you need to present to the court at the hearing. You will probably be more effective if you retain counsel.
