Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

child support gained from inheritance

My ex husband owes quite a bit for back child support. We live in Texas. He stands to inherit money from his father. Will the state garnish his inheritance for back child support?

If they find out about it. Don't tell them if you don't want them to know.

There is little reason to think the state will find out on its own. If you want your back supprot, you can hire your own attorney to go after the back support or you can try to get the AG to do it.
