Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

child support

My grandson's father asked and was granted his childsupport be revised because he was making less money and he had another child to support. He is married and the mother of the other child is also working. Is she not as responsible for her support and her income count as well? He snuck this in when we went to court to have child support sent to me. Because my daughter in in state jail and I had not warning or time to prepare for this.

Re: child support

The new wife is NOT obligated to support the child.

Only the parents are obligated to pay to support their child.

So he can marry a multi-millionaire and his child support would still be based on his income!

You obviously did NOT have an attorney and you obviously needed one!

Next time, hire an attorney!
