Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Child support

My husbanand ex-wife did not file with the attorney general for child support. He paid and then some except for this last year while the child lived with us full time. The mother has had him back for 3 months, and we got a letter from the attorney general saying we owed 23,ooo in child support. He was supposed to pay 750 a mo for 2 years then 350 a mo after that. He payed her the 750 for 4 years to be nice until she quit picking her son up at all about a year ago. Do we really owe that much money to her, or do we stand a chance in court?

Re: Child support

If you can prove the payments, you might have a chance. Receipts or cancelled checks? Better get a lawyer who knows this subject matter. Good Luck.
