Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

child support

My husband divorced me while i lives in another state. My 2 children have always been with me and he has no concern nor did he ever want them. Before he divorced me he and I had discussed child support but I have never received any. do I need to persue this in the state I was divorced in? or can I claim it from the state I have lived in for the past 7 years? My son is 19 and my other child is 17. Their father and I have been separated since 1997. Or should I just let it go?

Re: child support

You have already lost the child support for the 19 yr old. If you want the child support for the other child, you better get busy. It's not going to be easy. Nobody's going to come looking for you. You'll hav to do your share. Good Luck
