Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

child support

My husband currently pays the 20% for CS for his son. His ex now wants a modification to do an increase. What % will he be ordered to pay now that we have 2 children of our own?

Re: child support

The percentage will be 16% if he is only obligated to pay support for 1 child and the two of you have now had 2 additional children of your own. I am in the Houston area and can assist your husband with this matter. If he is interested in visiting more, please contact me.

Re: child support

Based on what you have written, the statutory guidlines would be 16.00%. It must be noted that the Court hearing the modification has the discretion to increase or decrease the statutory chart based on the best interest of the child. You should seek the assistance of a local law firm when dealing with modification requests. If my local law firm can assist you with this legal issue or any other legal matter, please contact my paralegal Tina ([email protected]) to arrange for an initial consultation.
