Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
child support
my husband and i were recently married in march. he had an agreement with his ex that he would pay certain bills for his almost 2 yr old son etc. and we are dual military, so he was automatically put on tricare for medical along with my daughter, who falls as his dependant. she took him to court to establish a legal agreement for child support before he left to bahrain. as soon as she heard the news of our marriage, she proceeded to take her case to the attorney general in march and now he is being charged with an oustanding arrears balance. how would we take care of this if he is deployed right now, and he has bank statements to show his monthly payments? we are also expecting next month so couldnt they re-evaluate the total he pays her monthly if he is supporting my daughter, our soon to be son, his 2 yr old and another child he pays child support for?

Re: child support
Hire a lawyer. It will be worth the expense, as an attorney can sort this out, and if appropriate, delay the proceedings while he is deployed.
