Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Child support

My husband has twin boys and he pays child support and we are wondering if when we have a child if that will affect his child support payment to the boys mother?

Would I have to put him on child support to effect the boys mother's support?

Re: Child support

Yes, having a third child could affect his obligation to the twins' mother. No, you don't have to "put him on child support" for it to have an effect. What does have to happen for there to be a change is for him to go back to Court to have his child support obligation changed.

Before he does that, he may want to consult with an attorney to see if his current income is enough higher now than it was when the original child support was set that even at the slightly lower percentage he'll owe the twins' mother his new obligation will still be as high or higher than his current obligation.
