Is anything other than income taken into consideration when determing the amount of child support in texas?

The judge will look primarily to income in determining child support. However, the judge can consider all the other factors that affect the ability to pay and the needs of the child (paying for the support of other children, medical or emotional disabilities, etc.)

If you mean income other than that earned though a job, then yes, it can be. Rental income, interest, proceeds from a trust fund, proceeds from a settlement, real estate holdings, royalties, ... under the right circumstances any and all of these and more can be considered. Mr. Matlock is correct, you should consult a good family law attorney.
