Child Support and Insurance

Is insurance included in the twenty percent bracket of income when paying child support payments?Or is the standard child support payment 20--name removed--and an additional insurance payment--name removed--Should the custodian of the child have asked for the insurance payment when going to court for child support?

Re: Child Support and Insurance

The obligor is supposed to provide monetary child support as a percentage of net income plus medical insurance for the child. The cost of the medical insurance is on top of the monetary child support, not included within it. The medical insurance is considered child support, too, which means that child support remedies are available to enforce that requirement.
