Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Child support on kids that are not mine

I am married and my wife has 2 kids from her previous marriage. We had some differences and we splited up. Now I want to get divorce. He put Child Support on the father of her kids but he has never paid it. We have been married for over 3 years and I have taken care of her and the Kids since then. I do not have any children with her or anybody else. I heard that she told somebody that she was going to put child support on me for those kids that are not my kids. They have their father and there is no paper that indicates that I am the father. is it possible in Texas for her to do that?

While we were together she went to school and became a teacher, now she has a job but I make twice as much as she does. The only thing I had was my car which I paid for and I gave it to her. What can I do?

There has never been any emotional or physical abuse between us.

Thanks!

You cannot be ordered to pay child support for children who are not your children.
