Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
child support when can you have liscense suspended?
how far behind does my ex have on paying child support before I can do anything about it? He is military and walks the line...he alsways sends it but NEVER on time in 10 years!it is due on or before the 1st of each month and he currently I did not receive payment in february...what happened...he sent a check to harris county...haris county issued my check, but he had placed a stop payment on the check sent to harris county...in essence he owed them money...so they kept february's payment to reimburse for missing january's payment that they issued me...so I didn't get a check in feb. who do I contact, what do I do?

You can call the Harris County District Attorney office section that handles child support. They may be able to help you. Or you can have an attorney file an enforcement (contempt) action, which can cause him to pay your attorney fees if he is found in contempt.

First, if he is on active duty in the military, why isn't your child support being deducted directly from his pay? If you had an employer's order signed at the time of your divorce or any subsequent modification, call the District Clerk to ask about their procedure to have that order issued to his employer.
Second, a private attorney can file a motion for enforcement by contempt - but only if he is 30 days or more late with an amount equal or greater than one month's obligation.
Third, you can contact the District Attorney's office to ask about the charge of "criminal non-support," however, be advised that each county's D.A. may have different procedures.
Fourth, and I do not recommend this, you can contact the Office of the Attorney General - Child Support Division to apply for their services, which are at no cost to you. Of course, with that agency, you get what you pay for.
