Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

child support

I live in Texas my daughter was divorced about 15 yrs ago. In the final divorce papers which both signed there was no child support for the three childen, which they both agreed on. They were to share custordy of the boys but they lived with their father. can he come back and ask for child support? She did sign a paper about 10 years ago stating she would pay child support but I don't know if it was a legal paper, there were no lawyer or notary present.

Re: child support

Generally, speaking there must be an enforceable order in a divorce in order to recover unpaid child support. Without knowing what that "paper" was, I can't answer your question completely.

Re: child support

I, of course, agree with James Grissom.

Also, if any of the children are still minors, he can go back to court and ask the court to order child support.
