Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Child Support

How would I go about getting child support changes made? I now have custody of 1 of my daughters whom was living with her dad. I pay support for 2 kids. He and I agreed that each would support a child with no payments being made to each other. he agreed to mail back the checks he recieved from my paychecks but that is not happening. so actually I am still paying him support for 2 kids when he only has 1 and recieivng nothing from him. The court order is from texas where he lives and I am in Illinois.

Re: Child Support

Attorney fees in such a case would be quite reasonable. You need an agreed order of modification which changes the conservatorship and support arrangements, together with a termination of support. You need an attorney in the area where the court is located that issued the decree of divorce. If you need additional information, feel free to email me directly. TCL
