Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Child Support

I am not married to the father of my son and need information on getting child support. The father did sign the birth certificate and was there when he was born. He has come around his son or provided any assistance in 5 months and I need to know what I need to do to file for child support. Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated. If you need additional information, please feel free to contact me. Thanks

You need to file a Suit Affecting Parent-Child Relationship. (SAPCR). This is best done through an attorney.

You could follow Ms. Langford's advice or you could also go to your local Attorney General's Office. They have a website for information. they will work for your child support at no expense to you.
