child support modifications

If me and my husband have a child support order already in place through the Attorney General's office since January 2004 , (he has since changed jobs and makes more money) can I hire a lawyer to do a modification of child support ? We have been separated since October 2003.

My office charges a deposit of $995 to begin such a case.
