Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Child support modifying

I have 2 kids by different moms in different houses. I pay 425 a month for one and over 400 a month for the other. I only make 36000 a year. Am I paying too high for what I make? I am remarried and have a 1 year old son also and we are struggling badly and I want to know if that is a resonable amount and if not what can I do?

Re: Child support modifying

Now that you have a third child, they're probably a little high. To change your obligations you would have to modify both orders. Truthfully, with filing fees, expenses and attorney's fees, it might cost you more to make the changes than you would save before one mother or the other takes you back for a modification of her own. If you can go through the AG, it is more cost effective.

This is what happens when you have multiple children with multiple mothers. Each obligation starts at the basic obligation rate and only gets a small adjustment for your other obligations. Sorry.
