Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Child support modifying

I have 2 kids that are from different moms and I pay a total of around 800 a month for them. I was just recently ordered to pay for one of them and the other I have been paying for for a long time.

I remarried and I have a 10 month old son and my wife is pregnant with our second baby due in August of 2009. Will my child support for the other two do down when my wife has our second baby? If so whats an estimate on how much and what do I need to do to get it modified and when? I have gotten mixed advice about this and I just want some clarification about it. Thank you

Re: Child support modifying

You should talk with a family law attorney about your particular situation. You'll need one to do the modifications (one for each of the orders)if that is what you decide to do. The total number of children does effect the percentage you pay, but other factors, such as your income when those orders were done and your income now, also effect the dollar amount.
