child support

what happens if my mother filed for child support from my father who has recently passed away. my siblings and i have become administrator's of his estate. would ''we'' the children be responsible for paying her child support? I know it sounds crazy but we really need to know.

Wow! You definately need to talk to your attorney.

If a person dies that owes child support, then the estate now has the burden of paying the child support.

The TX Legislature just enacted some new provisions regarding child support when the parent owing $$ dies.

You need to read the divorce decree to see what your father was ordered to do.

If the youngest child is older than 28, the statute of limitations has expired. Good Luck.
