Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

child support order from another state

my ex and i have a child support decree in place in louisiana but neither of us live there now. Both of us have been gone for over a year.

do i still have to honor the amount of the child support order that's in place there? Can I send a different amount as long as I am providing support on a regular basis until something is established in Texas?

Your LA order IS enforceable in TX. If you fail to pay the ordered amount, the TX AG can seek enforcement in TX.
