Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Child support
I'm currently paying child support for a 15yrs old child, and just found out that another is the father. How do I go about to get this court order change from myself paying for a child that isn--name removed--mine, and for this other my to live up the responsible that I was obligated. I feel that since the child and I hasn--name removed--bonded that it is in the best interest of us both to separate our lives. Can you tell me the fast way to dissolve this relationship?

Re: Child support
It isn't likely that there is a fast way to dissolve this relationship. Were you and the mother married? Was no DNA test done years ago? You will need to petition the court, however, what has transpired earlier in court orders will have a direct and significant bearing on the options available to you now. You need to hire a family lawyer to try to straighten this out.
