Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Child Support Payment Options

Hi, I am trying to get a divorce using an online service. The language is in a fixed format which states that child support payments must be ordered to be withheld from my check and sent to the child support office. I have heard of others making different arrangements for child support payments i.e. making a car payment and such. My questions are:

1. Can I make my payments directly to my x-wife without a withdrawl from pay order?

2. Do the payments have to go through the Attorney General's office?

3. How would one re-word the language in the decree to reflect these wishes?

Thank you, your help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the problems with on-line forms!

I recommend that you go to the website you used and ask them to assist you.

Or you can go to a law library and do the research yourself.

I hope you bought forms appropriate for Texas. Most of the forms that clients bring me from the internet are TRASH!

Good luck!
