Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
child support
Q. I am currently going through a divorce. I am the non-custodial parent with 30% custody time. I currently work a full-time and a part-time job. Can I be forced to pay child support based on my full-time and part-time job income? I have worked the part-time job for around 5 years but was looking to quit after I get things in order at my new residence so that I will have more time to spend with my son (7 years old).

Re: child support
Child support is based upon available resources including part-time income. If your child support is calculated on your part-time income, you can make a motion to reduce the child support when you quit.
