Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Child support question

My ex is traveling to Mexico in a couple of days. Will he be able to leave the US even though he is behind on his child support? He is over $2,500.. Is there something that I can do? The AG's office had originally told me that he would not be able to get a passport if he was behind, he already had his passport. Thank you in advance for listening.

A couple of days is probably not enough time to stop him. If and when he returns, you can petition the court to retain his passport until he is no longer in arrears.
