Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

child support and rights

i live in texas soon to be 3 year old whom i have only seen once. my name was put onto documents stating i was the father without my consent and i received papers for child support, i have continued to pay the whole time but i am also paying on my oldest son from my previous marriage and a child on the way with my fiance . the mother of this child i am asking about refuses to let me or my family see him. i do work for a livin but only minimum wage and cany even make my bills half the time between what i am paying in taxes and child support combined. I have considered for several months have my rights signed over and get support dropped since i am not allowed to see or communicate with the child , what steps do i need to take to resolve this.

Re: child support and rights

If the existing support order did not take your other children from other marriages into consideration, your child support could be lowered. Generally child support is based on your income. If your were not involved in the hearing that determined your child support, it may not be computed on your correct income.

If the child's parent is not providing court ordered visitation, there are several courses of action to enforce the court order.

You need to contact an attorney to advise you on your options and review your child support options. You can email me for further information.

Good Luck!
