Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
child support
when setting the amount of child support to be paid, (say you are being sued 4 years after the divorce and have remarried) is only the ex's income considered or the joint income of the ex and the "new" spouse?

Re: child support
Only the ex-spouse's income can be considered in the calculation of child support.

Re: child support
Step-parents are not responsible for child support and their income or assets are not counted when calculating that figure. The income from all sources of both biological parents is used to determine the support figure.
