Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

child support

sir, why are men being discriminated against, regarding the state of texas child support who specifically states that it represents custodial parents who are usually women. I am a 62 year old man and currently receive $770 from my social security retirement. I have recently gone to the texas city child support office. however I am left without understanding, because the officer handling my case insist on me paying for medical insurance out of the social

security payment I receive each month. But my understanding is amiss because the social security

administration is paying my childs mother $511. each month, so why cant she pay for medical insurance out of the $511 that is intended for my child's expenses. when my child support payment had been $225. each month, leaving a difference of $286.

your input will be appreciated, thank you.

Re: child support

The decree needs to modified so the social security funds that the child receives are credited against your child support obligation if it does not already do so. By law, divorce decrees or orders in custody cases must provide for health insurance for the child.
