Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
child support
child support is really taking more out of my check the more i make the more that is taking out how can i stop this increase in child support. why should a man that is willing to show a increase in income @ each hearing and doesn't hide the fact of fair income get punished. if myself improves in income why shoulf she get more, i am the one bettering myself. she has the same opportunity as me to increase income. she clears roughly $20,000 with child support and income tax. which she doesn't have to pay a red cent to taxes. plus she works! in these areas that's pretty standard living and she does it without a drop of sweat. i don't say that child support is not necessary and we shouldn't have it, but shouldn't there be some type of limit. were out to help women who need it but what about the men that need help. so how can i change this for myself and others

Re: child support
Your concerns should be addressed with your state legislators (members of the Texas House of Representatives and Texas Senate).
If the mother of your children is scraping by with $20,000 a year after child support, I don't think she's getting away with anything -- in fact, it probably costs her more to raise those children than it costs you in child support.
