Child Support in Texas

Our son is in the process of getting a divorce. His wife has a child that our son has been in the process of adopting (not final). They also have a son together. Will son have to pay child support on her child from a previous relationship (not marriage)?

If the adoption is not final, and he is abandoning the proceedings, then he will not be obligated to pay child support for the child.
