child support\child adoption

A.G. is taking my son's father back to court for non-payment of child support. Son wants my husband to adopt him, husband willing. Child's father agrees with the adoption. Son is 12 yrs. old. Husband has raised him since 4. Court date already set for 5-18-07. Need immediate legal help.
