In Texas, only your income is considered.

Child support for 2 healthy children (with no unusual problems that cost extra money) is 25% of your net income as determined by the State of Texas Legislature.If you have other children (not step-children) that you are supporting, then that % is reduced.

If you don't carry your children on your health insurance or reimburse their other parent for the monthly premium, you will be ordered to pay the monthly premium too as an additional form of child support. You are also responsible for (probably) 50% of all unreimbursed medical expenses for the children.

You need to read your Final Decree of Divorce for what you were ordered to do.

The chart to calculate child support is available on the internet. You can probably under the "Texas Family Code" and under the "Texas Attorney General" website.

Be advised there is a new chart for 2002 that shows net income as higher than 2001 -- since your income taxes decreased.
