Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

child going on vacation with family friends

child going on vacation with family friends, want me to sign temp. cust. to them for vacation period. Will this be a problem? They have always had an unsual type of relationship with my son and have on occasion told others that he is theirs. Should I be worried that this might pose a problem and is it possible that they would try to not give my son back after the vacation time period??

This sounds like a VERY strange situation.

At the most a parent might sign an authorization for emergency medical treatment.

You should trust your instincts and if this doesn't seem right on any level, you would be better off to play it safe and decline the offer.

Perhaps you should consult with a local family law attorney. It sounds like there is more going on here than can be told in an email.
