Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
child visitation
If divorced parents can't agree, are you bound by the visitation in the divorce decree? What would happen if you were not around at the specified time in the divorce papers for the other parent to pick the child up? This is in Texas.

You are bound by an *order* of the court. If you don't follow the court's order, be prepared to explain to the judge why your opinion supercedes his order. Be prepared for the consequences. Judge's usually think their orders are superior to your good reasons. Good Luck.

Yes.
You could end up in jail.
It's just like child support. If you don't follow the Court's Order, you can be hauled back into Court and be sent to jail.
