Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

child visitation

My exwife and I have standard Texas visitation orders. She recently moved to New Mexico and she gave me a P.O. Box as her new address. I want to know where my daughter actually, physically lives. Does she have to give me her physical address or can she give me a P.O. Box and not tell me where my daughter lives?

You can seek to have the court resolve this matter.

Re: child visitation

Check the language in the divorce decree. If she does not provide you with a physical address, how can you visit your child?

If she has not changed the court of continuing jurisdiction to the state where the child resides you may be able to can go to court in Texas to file a motion to enforce the terms of the order so you can visit your child. Othewise you will need an attorney in New Mexice. You should make sure the visitiation provisions are workable in light of new locations of your residences and the distance in between.
