Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Child Visitation Rigths In Texas

My son's father has custody and he just told me today that he is moving out of state. Can he do this without a court's permission? Also, I can not afford a lawyer. Can I represent myself?

You need a certified copy of your last court order, signed by a Judge. That document controls.

You need to sit down with a family law attorney and have an attorney explain the document to you so that you understand it.

Of course, you can try to represent yourself. However, you are supposed to know Texas law and the local rules of the county the case is in.

You can go to any law library and try to do it yourself.

However, I highly recommend that you hire an attorney to help you.
