Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

child visitation out of state

I pay about $600 a month in child support and my child lives out of state (Illinois) and I live in Texas. We were never married and my ex doesn't let me see my child. Would the court issue me visitation atleast once a month? Do you think I could also get it to where my ex has to pay for my child to come see me atleast 1 weekend a month since I don't have the means to get her here? Our child is 8 years old and has flown by herself before. Thank you.

Pretty sure you could get some kind of visitation and you might be able split the cost. Most people need the services of a lawyer to do this. If you're going to try to do it yourself, be prepared to spend long hours in the library. Good Luck.
