Look around and hire someone that you feel comfortable using.

I would recommend that you hire someone that handles a lot of family law (divorce) cases.

You need to have an attorney before you to to the TX A G office and set up child support for yourself.

The caseworkers at the TX A G office are not attorneys and they cannot give you legal advice. You need an attorney to help you work through the process the right way.

If you are in the Dallas area, you might want to try to locate the local Father's for Equal Rights for attorneys that want to represent men.
