Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

dont know where my child is when he visits his father

i was divorced last year. my ex husband has my son every other weekend. my son is 10. when his father picks him up, my 10 year old ends up with someone else(my other son who is 26)I asked my 26 year old to at least let me know where hes taking him and when he is bringing him home.I was in an abusive marriagefor nineten years and my 26 year old and my ex are close) he answered that it wassend my buisness. It sayes in the divorce degree that he can appoint someone to bring him home. does that mean he my ex can give my 10 year olt to my 26 year old without consulting me and my 26 year old dont have to tell me where hes taking him, and do i have to worry everytine my 10 year old goes to his father. also my ex left him with other people whom i dont know, and didnt find out till my 10 year old told me. what can I do??????

If he is correct about the terms of your decree (which is standard language), then you need to go back to court and file for a modification of the decree.

It is reasonable to require that if the child is not with his father, that you be apprised of his whereabouts, and who is caring for him.

If the dad has a history of violence towards his children, you may want to explore the option of supervised visitation.
