Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
child not wanting to visit with Dad
My children ages 14 & 17 . Are not wanting to visit w/ Dad . I've tried 2 years w/ the 17 year old . And for the past 3 mos. w/ my 14 yr. old . Since she has moved back in w/ me . I have tried to get the girls to go w/ my ex for the holidays . And they refuse . My ex told me to butt out . That I was making things worse . I am only wanting the girls to have a relationship w/ Dad.
He does NOT call , email , write letters , nor stop by . He lives 15 minutes away !!!! Should I stop trying ? And should he being trying harder ?
He missed every single one of our 17 yr. old softball games . I emailed him days (games were held on every Weds. ) just at different times .. I don't know what else to do . I can't afford counseling for the girls to open up ......

Re: child not wanting to visit with Dad
You can't make your ex be a good daddy! Other than that I'm not exactly sure what you are wanting to know. If he shows up at the right time and place for visitation, the girls need to go with him whether they want to or not. If they don't you could end up going to jail.

If you want an hour consultation. I'd charge $150 to sit down with you and discuss your situation with you face-to-face.
