Child Welfare Laws in Texas

What is the minimum legal age at which a minor can be left unattended at home in Texas?

There is no definatel law.

It depends on the child's maturity and ability to hire a crisis.

However, I would not leave a child under 1 yr. old with a small child.

Even if the child has taken the babysitting classes available, I personally would not leave a baby with anyone under 16 years of age.

That includes - even 5 minutes while I ran to the store for milk!

But then again, because I'm conservative I never had CPS called on me and I never had a child injured in my home.

I suggest you use your common sense.
