Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

children

The mother of our children is bi-polar. She is saying she wants a divorce and is wanting to take the kids across state lines to NC from TX. Can she do that?

Re: children

I assume there is no court of continuing jurisdiction over the children.

Therefore, yes she can.

Of course, you can do whatever you want too.

Therefore, file for divorce in your county ASAP and ask for a temp. order hearing.

Please consult an attorney in your area tomorrow!

Re: children

She can, unless you prevent her with a restraining order.
