childrens lawyer

My son is involved in a nasty custody battle and he is 16 years old. the lawyer sucks and is not ofr the boys can he hire his own lawyer and i pay the lawyer?

It's extremely hard to figure out what you are asking.

If you are talking about the Amicus Attorney or Ad Litem not doing what you think he or she should, no, you cannot personally choose and hire an attorney for you son to replace him or her. The reason the Court appoints these attorneys and orders their payment by both parties is so that neither party has any influence over them.
