Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My child's father recently adopted his girlfriend's son. She is now leaving him for another man. Will he be liable to pay her child support and will that affect my child child support?

If he legally adopted the child, then it is his child. He will be ordered to pay child support for the kid. He will also have all rights any dad has to a minor child.
