Do you have to let your child go with the noncustodial parent on their visitation if you suspect abuse? And at what age can the child choose in texas?

Re: childs rights
A child has no right to make these decisions. When your child turns 18, and becomes an adult, then your child can establish their relationship with their parent.
If you suspect abuse, you must protect your child first. File a petition to modify the order, and ask for a TRO suspending possession until there is a hearing and determination by the court. Additionally, notify CPS of the allegations of abuse.
