What does it mean to have a notice to destroy exhibits/depos/business or medical records?

It normally means you are on notice not to destroy any evidence or sanctions could be imposed on you by the judge. It could, in unusual circumstances, be a notice to destroy them if the litigation is over and you no longer need them and they are somehow privileged. When a court tells you to do something, you should do it or ask for reconsideration or appeal.
